This Volunteer teaches a welding class at the Jidhafs Secondary Technical School outside of Manama, the capital. He spent his first year of Peace Corps service as a welding instructor at the Manama Secondary Technical School, then transferred to the Jidhafs school because he preferred working with the rural youngsters who study there. 304 youths attend the Jidhafs School; about 70 take the three-year welding program. The Volunteer, a Bahraini teacher and an Egyptian teacher make up the welding faculty. April, 1977
