July 1974 PCV Elinor Leland, 25, of Catonsville, Md. is assigned to Belize, Central America as a Peace Corps veterinary laboratory technician. Her job is to assist the local veterinartian in giving injections or medication and studying animal diseases and figuring out the best ways to use the limited amount of drugs the laboratory has available. Here she is shown with the veterinarian discussing lab work. Miss Leland earned her bachelor’s degree in dairy science from the University of Georgia in Athens in 1970 and a master’s degree from the University of Illinois in Urbana in 1072. A native of Baltimore, Miss Leland is the daughter of Glen and Jane Leland of 5025 Wilkens Ave., Catonsville, Md.
