This Peace Corps Volunteer was co-manager of Andean Products, the mail outlet for products created by the artisans of Ecuador. Giedd, who recently finished his Peace Corps service, was stationed in Cuenca, Ecuador. With his help and the efforts of other Peace Corps Volunteers, the volume of sales for the mail order business is now $2,000 per month. Ecuadorian weavers, potters, jewelery craftsmen and straw artisans have organized into cooperatives and these in turn have formed a cooperative federation.
