Photo Description	Third year Volunteer works with the Malian department of Water and Forests to establish village nurseries, create mudstove formations and encourage dune stabilization projects in the Sahelian region. In this photo he is shown with his Malian counterpart inspecting dune stabilization outside of Dire. They were able to halt the sands approaching Dire and threatening housing and water. By using cuttings from tamarix trees, they planted grids mapped out in ten meter squares.
