The World Bank is providing funds to Malaysia to assist a school construction and expansion project which will provide over 10,000 new student places, of which the greater part will be in vocational, technical and agricultural schools. This will alleviate Malaysia’s severe shortage of technicians and craftsmen needed to implement the Government’s plans for industrial development and more diversified agriculture.
