This picture was taken at a museum in Suriname on Jan 21, 2012. The man speaking is my counterpart and one of the founders of the museum. He helped MC the 3-day HIV/AIDS education event, reaching over 400 people in the area.
During our first 10 weeks in-country we lived with host families. It was a wonderful way to integrate and learn the culture, language and customs of the country. It was also a lot of fun living with a family again.
