I took this picture of my host family on Easter Day, 2004, in Sartichaala, Georgia. It's a tradition to have a feast in a cemetery on Easter. This was my third day in country and a wonderful introduction to Georgian customs.
Food is at the center of all Micronesian celebrations. Weddings, parties, funerals all revolve around food. They cook their meat in a local oven called an "uhmw". This is made out of wood and rocks.
