Fisheries Volunteers in Zaire/Congo in 1980 upon arriving in country, took a quick tour of internal regions of the country in order to visit other Volunteers, farmers and fish ponds. The children in the villages always were smiling.
The Congo/Zaire River is in the background. I was visiting Kinshasa and Zaire for the first week when this photo was taken. The fisheries program director had birds that talked (African Greys) and great view of the river. 1980
